Speaking as a dietitian I will jump up and down about this one! Most people wont know that new nutrition targets have been released recently by the Dept of Health & Ageing which significantly change the recommended targets for vitamins and minerals for optimal health and disease prevention. Hmm, how does a dietitian successfully assist their clients to acheive this when we don't know what nutrients are in our current food supply or what the Australian people are consuming?! Both the national nutrition survey AND the food composition tables are long overdue and cannot be delayed further given our current health concerns.
